ODD sharing feature Client 1.0

ODD sharing feature Client by FUJITSU LIMITED is a utility that lets a computer without an optical disc drive (ODD) access and use the optical drive of another computer over a local network. The client connects to a host PC running the ODD sharing feature server so you can read discs, install software from CDs/DVDs (and Blu‑ray, where supported), or access data without attaching an external drive.

Key points:

• Designed for Fujitsu systems that support the ODD sharing feature
• Connects to a host PC on the same network that has a physical optical drive
• Useful for reading media and installing applications from disc on drive‑less PCs
• Behavior and media support depend on the host drive and network conditions
• Certain protected or writable media may not be supported

Requirements:

• A host computer with an optical disc drive and the corresponding ODD sharing server installed and running
• A client computer with this software installed
• A working local network connection
